The courses below are not offered every month, as we alternate them accordingly. Classes are available for pre-booking months in advance. If a prerequisite is required, you MUST complete the preceding class before registering for the desired one.
Basic Pistol
NRA Basic Pistol Course

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is the best way for you to learn the fundamentals of pistol shooting. The course is the first step for you to obtain the proper certification for your concealed carry permit in some states. Be sure to contact your county, city, or state to find out whether this course fulfills the requirement.
This training course is the best way to learn the fundamentals of pistol shooting from a qualified NRA certified Instructor.

BIT & Basic Pistol
BIT & Basic Pistol Instructor Course

This intense 2-day course includes Day 1 Basic Instructor Training (BIT) and Day 2 Basic Pistol Instructor course. These courses are a mixture of testing, live-fire drills, dry-fire exercises, lectures, and personal practice on the student’s part. This certification is required for more advanced NRA Pistol Certifications.
Class Prerequisites:
- Must have already taken the NRA Basic Pistol Course
- Demonstrate proper knowledge, skills, and attitude required to become an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor
- Required to demonstrate you have the proper skills to safely load and unload various types of firearms
- Perform the shooting portion of the test to verify that you can shoot a 6” group at 30ft
- NRA demands the highest quality of professional firearms instructors & we have been entrusted with verifying that you can pass the basic requirements
- Students that fail the requirements will have to reschedule and retest at the next available date
- We reserve the right to fail any student at any time for safety violations
- You will also be required to demonstrate advanced pistol knowledge and techniques

- This course is designed to teach you how to teach the NRA Basic Pistol course (not how to shoot)
- Our instructor program is designed with your success in mind

- The class requires eye and ear protection and at least 200 rounds of ammunition for the handgun you will use
- Semi-automatic pistol with 3 magazines and spare magazine carrier or a revolver with 3-speed loaders and carrier for speed loaders
Personal Protection - Instructor
Personal Protection In The Home Instructor Course

This course requires the student to already have taken the Basic Instructor Training on the previous course date. Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises. Students will receive NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home course student packet. Students should expect to shoot approximately 150 rounds of ammunition or more. Students will leave with the confidence of being able to properly teach the PPIH course to the NRA Standard.
Class Prerequisites:
- Must already hold NRA Certified Pistol Instructor ratings & recommend having completed the student portion of PPIH
- Demonstrate proper knowledge, skills, and attitude to become an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor
- Required to demonstrate you have the proper skills to safely load and unload various types of firearms
- Perform the shooting portion of the test to verify that you meet the NRA standards
- NRA demands the highest quality of professional firearms instructors & we have been entrusted with verifying that you can pass the basic requirements

Personal Protection - Student
NRA Personal Protection In The Home Student Course

This is an intense and extensive course with an additional 1 hour of range time, for a total of 9 hours. Students should expect to shoot approximately 300 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, and how to choose a handgun. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate.
Class Prerequisites:
- This course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law, and experienced shooters
- Shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, and cleaning the firearm
- Prospective participants can demonstrate that they have the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes by producing an NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment
- P100 & P200 recommended
