Arizona is one of several states that offer good citizens the ability to carry a concealed weapon. During this non-shooting course, we will teach you about the basic components of legal Concealed Carry Weapons, mental awareness, interactions with law enforcement, and how to properly plan for before and after a self-defense conflict.
Following the completion of the course you will need to complete a finger print card (which we can supply for you at a specially discounted price during the class) you will be able to submit your completed application to DPS for a Concealed Weapons Permit issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Class Prerequisites: None.
Equipment and supplies required: Positive attitude and participation

Basic Concealed Carry

Home Defense 100

Have you ever wondered how you would react to a threat in your home? Need help putting a basic plan in place? This is the class for you!
Caswells Home Defense 100 (HD100) is a course designed to help prepare the student and provide the basic resources for creating and executing a defense plan in the home.
Topics:
- Defining a family-inclusive defense plan
- Safe mobility with a firearm within the home
- Identifying a safe room environment
- What to do if a threat is encountered
- Students will also perform live-fire exercises that cover real life shooting skills
Class Prerequisites:
Personal shooting experience is required or successful completion of the Fundamental Shooting Skills course.

- Handgun (Firearm can be rented at no cost)
- 75 rounds of ammunition (must be purchased at Caswells if renting our
- firearm)
- Caswells range ammunition may be purchased at class
- Eye and ear protection
- Flashlight or firearm mounted light
Home Defense 200
$75
The HD200 class takes home defense preparedness to a whole new level. We will cover unarmed self defense skills that will help you in the home, as well as during your normal daily activities.
You will learn to use low light tactics, cover and concealment to your advantage. We’ll have you implement these tactics in live fire drills which will include standing, kneeling and sitting positions.
Many of the drills will include shooting on the move and shooting from cover and concealment.
We will also have a question and answer session pertaining to which firearm is right for you. Other topics covered will be concealed carry concerns, such as how and when to carry your firearm.
Class Prerequisites:
Completion of the Home Defense 1 course.
Equipment and supplies required:
- Handgun (Firearm can be rented at no cost)
- 75 rounds of ammunition (must be purchased at Caswells if renting our
- firearm)
- Caswells range ammunition may be purchased at class

All instructors for this course are required to have NRA Certification,
and/or prior Military/Law Enforcement/competitive shooting backgrounds.
