We offer rifle training courses for all levels – beginner to advanced.

All instructors for this course are required to have NRA Certification,
and/ or have prior Military, Law Enforcement or competitive shooting backgrounds.

Introduction to Tactical Rifles (Rifle 100)

$75

This class focuses on the basics of the military AR15 rifle and AK 47/74 platformed rifles, however we welcome any tactical rifle. We learn the history, theory of operation, and basic use. This class is a prerequisite for the Tactical Carbine courses. If you are buying an AR15, M1, AK47, or any military-style rifle, this is a great course to add on to your purchase. This class is for anyone who wants to learn how to safely load, unload and understand the basic operation of their tactical rifle.

3 hours class time, 1 hour range time

Class Prerequisites:

Proper attitude and willingness to participate

Focus Areas:

  • Safety
  • Basic history & theory of operation
  • Dynamics and rifle ballistics
  • Proper loading and unloading techniques
  • Rifle optics
  • Zeroing sites or installed optics

Equipment Required:

  • Rifle (We suggest you bring your own as rentals are limited)
  • 1 rifle magazine
  • Closed-toe shoes or boots
  • 50 rounds of ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection

Tactical Carbine 1 (Rifle 200)

You’ve asked and we have delivered. This 8-hour class is the first class in a series that will help you learn basic tactical skills using a military carbine for close-quarters personal protection both inside and outside the home. The class has a great pace and will use both dry-fire and live-fire exercises.

1 hour class time, remainder range time

Class Prerequisites:

Completed Introduction to Rifles or instructor exception.

Focus Areas:

  • Safety
  • Tactical shooting positions
  • Reloading techniques
  • Malfunctions clearances
  • Live-fire drills such as controlled pairs, close-quarters speed drills, multiple target engagements

Equipment Required:

  • Rifle with Tactical sling
  • Three 20 or 30-round magazines
  • Dual rifle magazine pouch or carrier
  • Knee pads (optional but highly recommended) and closed-toe shoes or boots
  • 500 rounds of ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection

Tactical Carbine 2 (Rifle 300)

The Carbine 2 course follows the Carbine 1 course and builds on those skills. In addition to some review, the Carbine 2 course will dive into much more advanced techniques and include the use of your tactical pistol skills for low light encounters. This class is fast-paced and will use both dry-fire and live-fire exercises. Pistols are not required.

1 hour class time, remainder range time

Class Prerequisites:

Must have completed R200 and P500 if using your pistol

Focus Areas:

  • Advanced shooting positions
  • Search and assess for threats
  • Barrier transitions
  • Suppressive fire techniques
  • Pistol transitions
  • Reloading on the move

Equipment Required:

  • Rifle with tactical sling and weapon-mounted light (carbine)
  • Three 20 or 30-round rifle magazines
  • Pistol with strong side holster that does not collapse
  • Dual rifle magazine pouch or carrier
  • Knee pads (optional but highly recommended) and closed-toe shoes or boots
  • 500 rounds of rifle and 50 rounds of pistol ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Handheld flashlight with momentary switch

Defensive Carbine Skills 1 (Rifle 400)

This class or broken into 2 days is our final segment designed for individuals utilizing the carbine rifle for protection of the home. Your home presents unique challenges with small rooms, hallways, and multiple entry points. Understanding these challenges is a key element in preparing yourself for home protection. Pistols are not required.

1 hour class time, remainder range time

Class Prerequisites:

  • Must have completed R300 and P500 if using a pistol

Focus Areas:

  • Equipment needs, mindset and readiness
  • Movement using barriers
  • Training and tactics with transition drills
  • Techniques within the home using low light

Equipment Required:

  • Rifle with tactical sling and weapon-mounted light (carbine)
  • Three 20 or 30-round rifle magazines
  • Pistol with strong side holster that does not collapse
  • Dual rifle magazine pouch or carrier
  • Knee pads (optional but highly recommended) and closed-toe shoes or boots
  • 500 rounds of rifle and 100 rounds of pistol ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Handheld flashlight with momentary switch

Long-Range Rifle 1 (Rifle 500)

Long-range rifle shooting is about precision engagement of small or distant targets that challenge the limits of your equipment, ammunition, and your own capabilities while under time and/or field pressures. This is the first, of a two-part class around long-range shooting. This course will focus on the equipment and steps that will lead you to successful long-range shooting.

Class Prerequisites:

Completed Introduction to Rifles or Instructor exception.

Focus Areas:

  • Comprehensive understanding of rifle equipment
  • Ammunition, Optics, Ranging targets
  • Calibers
  • Ancillary gear

Equipment Required:

  • Rifle (you must bring your own)
  • 100+ rounds of ammunition
  • Magnified rifle optic
  • Shooting mat recommended but not required
  • Caliber of .223 or higher
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Cleaning rod for your specific caliber

Long-Range Rifle 2 (Rifle 600)

Long-range rifle shooting is about precision engagement of small or distant targets that challenge the limits of your equipment, ammunition, and your capabilities while under time and/or field pressures. The second part of this two-part series will cover more advanced techniques and skills necessary for success.

Completed Long-Range Rifle 1

Focus Areas:

  • Elevation adjustments and travel
  • Bullet compensation
  • Setup and placement

Equipment Required:

  • Rifle (you must bring your own)
  • 100+ rounds of ammunition
  • Magnified rifle optic
  • Shooting mat recommended but not required
  • Caliber of .223 or higher
  • Eye and ear protection

Build Your Own AR-15 Course

$950

We have designed a class that takes the mystery out of AR-15 building and makes it accessible to everyone. Upon course completion you will have your own, self built AR-15. You will know every nut, bolt, and pin, as YOU will have built it!

You will have the opportunity to customize your rifle with accessories of your choice* including sights, magazines, even custom triggers! You really can build the AR-15 of your dreams! *Accessories at extra expense, all additions to be discussed to instructor prior to purchase.

Class Part 1

This class will be held in 2 parts. During part 1 of the course students will receive a stripped lower receiver and will be familiarized with the standard AR-15 parts kit by our experienced instructor. During this portion of the class students will also have the opportunity discuss accessories and upgrades.

Class Part 2

This is where it gets REALLY interesting. Your AR-15 will be ready to assemble with your Armorer’s toolkit (also included in the price) under our instructor’s guidance. Step by step, your AR-15 will take shape in your hands. Once the rifle is complete it will be ready to test fire. We will take you out to the range where you will be the first person EVER to fire your AR-15! All this; the class, the full AR-15 parts kit, stripped lower receiver and armorer’s toolkit for a great price!
